CoolSculpting is an amazing way to freeze away fat for good. It’s a safe and effective non-surgical option that requires little to no recovery period or downtime. Many of our patients are enjoying slimmer, shapelier figures with quick and easy treatments in the comfort of our Mechanicsburg office. But is CoolSculpting the right choice for your body-contouring needs?
Is CoolSculpting a Good Fit?
If you’re interested in permanently preventing pesky fat from ever coming back without the need for surgery, CoolSculpting may be the right choice for you. This non-invasive alternative to liposuction can address stubborn pockets of fatty tissue in the back, abdomen, love handles or muffin top, inner and outer thighs, and upper arms. If that weren’t enough, CoolSculpting was also recently cleared by the FDA to treat the dreaded double chin.
You’re Almost There
Like most fat-reducing methods available today, CoolSculpting is perfect for those who are already close to their ideal weight, but just have some persistent adipose tissue that has become resistant to diet and exercise. This procedure is recommended for patients who have a body mass index (BMI) of under 30. CoolSculpting is designed to target those noticeable bulges you’d like to do away with, but is not an alternative to more extensive weight-loss procedures like gastric bypass surgery.
You Keep Up with a Healthy Lifestyle
Speaking of diet and exercise, a healthy lifestyle matters. That doesn’t mean you have to be a total gym rat or serious calorie counter, but it is important to maintain those healthy habits after your procedure. While CoolSculpting does permanently eliminate unwanted fat cells, it’s still possible to gain weight in other areas, potentially creating fat distribution that can become problematic to your appearance and self-confidence.
Who Is CoolSculpting Not Right For?
While most of our Pennsylvania patients are able to reap the rewards of this powerful treatment, CoolSculpting isn’t for everyone. As previously mentioned, those looking to shed significant amounts of weight due to obesity won’t benefit from this treatment. Because CoolSculpting addresses adipose tissue by freezing the cells, those who suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria are also unable to be treated with this method. Others just may not like the idea of freezing the fat. If that’s the case, we’ve still got all of your body-contouring concerns covered. We are pleased to offer several alternatives, including Kybella®, and traditional Liposuction to give you the best results possible.
