What is DualSculpting™? 64f8e5688a5d9.jpeg

CoolSculpting® is a popular nonsurgical body contouring service at our practice because it can provide excellent results through several quick treatment sessions. But lately, patients are opting for the DualSculpting™ technique to treat more fat in less time. Keep reading to learn about DualSculpting treatments at Farrell Plastic Surgery & Laser Center.

CoolSculpting vs DualSculpting

CoolSculpting is an innovative, noninvasive fat reduction procedure. A CoolSculpting machine has one applicator that is applied to the treatment area during a session. The applicator delivers safe cooling energy, which freezes fat cells without affecting the surrounding tissue. The frozen fat cells are gradually eliminated by the body, providing long-lasting results.

CoolSculpting can effectively treat many areas, including your:

  • Abdomen
  • “Love handles” or “muffin top”
  • Inner thighs
  • Outer thighs
  • Upper arms
  • Double chin

You may want to work on more than one of the areas mentioned above. However, many practices only have one CoolSculpting machine, which means that only one area can be treated at a time.

DualSculpting is an advanced CoolSculpting method that is used to treat two areas at once. Drs. Leo and Deborah Farrell use two CoolSculpting machines to treat multiple areas of your body simultaneously.

Let’s look at an example. Traditionally, it would take two hours to treat your upper arms because you would need one session for each arm. Our doctors cut that time in half by treating both arms at once.

Our Pennsylvania patients have busy schedules. They love the fact that DualSculpting allows them to double the effects of their treatment session. DualSculpting is an excellent way to achieve your body sculpting goals in less time.

The Benefits of DualSculpting

DualSculpting offers the same great benefits as CoolSculpting. However, this method provides some additional benefits that make it the preferred treatment for many patients.

The benefits of DualSculpting include:

  • Fewer office visits: Many patients come in for CoolSculpting treatments during their lunch break. By treating two areas at once with DualSculpting, they can avoid making separate appointments for each area of concern.
  • Shorter treatment time: DualSculpting can cut your CoolSculpting treatment time in half. Instead of taking two hours to treat your love handles, it will only take one. However, you may still need multiple visits to achieve the most dramatic results.
  • Symmetrical results: At other practices, patients may need to make one CoolScupting appointment to treat one arm and a completely different appointment to treat the other. Because of this, there could be a period of time where their results are not entirely symmetrical. Avoid this by treating both arms at once with DualSculpting.

Am I a DualSculpting Candidate?

While many patients enjoy the time-saving nature of DualSculpting, the technique is not right for everyone. Patients who only want to address one area, such as the abdomen, will likely benefit from a traditional CoolSculpting treatment using one applicator.

However, patients who would typically require two sessions should consider DualSculpting to drastically decrease their treatment time. Our doctors will discuss your candidacy for this advanced treatment method during your consultation.
