Here at Mechanicsburg’s Farrell Laser & Aesthetic Medicine Center, we have many inquiries for fat loss procedures. Many of Dr. Farrell’s patients are interested in surgical body contouring procedures such as liposuction. While liposuction is one of the most popular procedures performed by Dr. Farrell, it requires surgery and involves a short recovery period.
Many of our patients now choose to forego surgery for a minimally invasive solution to stubborn pockets of fat—CoolSculpting!
What Is CoolSculpting?
Because CoolSculpting is a newer treatment, many of our Mechanicsburg patients are not familiar with it and are not aware that it is an option for fat reduction. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure designed to help men and women who want to treat specific areas of fat accumulation on their body, including the stomach, “love handles”, a double chin, and inner and outer thighs. As it does not require surgery, patients are able to return to their daily routine without the need for a recovery period.
How Does CoolSculpting Work?
CoolSculpting uses a controlled cooling to freeze and kill fat cells. Over the next few months, the body will metabolize and naturally eliminate these now-dead fat cells. On average, patients see a reduction of up to 25 percent! CoolSculpting can be performed multiple times on the same or different areas to help create a better, more refined contour.

CoolSculpting’s minimally-invasive fat reduction sounds almost too good to be true—fortunately, it is not! You, too, can enjoy the benefits of CoolSculpting by scheduling a consultation with Dr. Farrell at our Mechanicsburg practice.
