The stars of Hollywood always seem to look their very best. Have you ever wondered what keeps them looking so good over the years? Is it the angle of the camera or a post-production editing trick? Or is it something else? It’s no secret that some leading ladies have undergone a little nip and tuck here and there to keep them looking camera-ready at all times, but rarely are the famous men mentioned in the same breath. There are some Hollywood hunks who are rumored to have had “some work done” before their careers got off the ground. Can you guess who?
The Biggest Star on the Big Screen
One who did for sure is maybe the most in-demand actor around these days—Dwayne Johnson. It seems like he’s starring in just about every movie that is coming out these days (he appears in six flicks in 2017 to ‘18!). While you might just assume that because of his mammoth, muscular physique and his background in professional wrestling, “The Rock” probably doesn’t have an ounce of fat on him. Well, you’d be wrong. It turns out that Johnson suffered from gynecomastia, which is a buildup of excess tissue in the male breast. He had liposuction to remove the fatty deposits several years ago in order to help sculpt and augment his masculine pectoral features. It just goes to show that sometimes it doesn’t matter how fine-tuned your workouts and eating habits are, stubborn fat or excess tissue can hang around on even the most unlikely of bodies.
TV Guide to Anti-Aging
Botox® is by far the most popular cosmetic treatment performed in the US. It is less invasive than surgical procedures without the prolonged recovery time. That can make non-surgical enhancement a more attractive option for busy men, especially those we see on TV every night. Former sports star turned football analyst, Deion Sanders, recently tried Botox for the first time and loved it. Sanders said, “I noticed frown lines and crow’s feet. I am like, ‘I have got to do something about this!’” Another famous TV personality that wanted to hold off the aging process with Botox is Simon Cowell. Yes, the guy we love to hate has dipped his toe in the injectable fountain of youth. He admits, “It works. You do it once a year. Who cares?” We couldn’t agree more.
The Stars of Everyday Life
We’re seeing it here at our Pennsylvania offices too, as every day men are following these trends. More and more guys are feeling comfortable exploring ways to enhance their appearance or to fight signs of aging. Whether it’s Kybella® for the double chin, CoolSculpting® for that little extra around the middle, or more intensive procedures like eyelid surgery or nose reshaping, men make up the fastest growing cosmetic enhancement demographic.
